Former UFC fighter Paige VanZant walked away with a draw following her second appearance on the Power Slap stage.
Emanating from Space42 Arena in Abu Dhabi, ’12 Gauge’ returned to the podium for a bout with Chelsea “Mini Mayhem” Dodson, the wife of former UFC title challenger John Dodson. While VanZant was successful in her first promotional appearance, this time around neither she nor Dodson walked away with their hand raised.
After eating slaps from one another in the opening round, things took a turn in the second when VanZant was handed a one-point deduction for clubbing.

A club is defined as “any strike other than a permitted Slap to the permitted target area.” After both competitors landed clean slaps in the third, the judges ruled the match a draw with 28-28 scorecards across the board.

Paige VanZant Unlikely to Return to BKFC
Power Slap is just the latest sport added to VanZant’s resume. Previously, she had been best known for her work inside the Octagon, going 5-4 under the UFC banner between 2014 and 2020. She walked away from the promotion after six years in search of green pastures. She found exactly that with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.
The promotion wrote ’12 Gaugue’ a big fat check to acquire her services. Unfortunately, she failed to live up to the hype. VanZant came up short in back-to-back bouts against Britain Hart and Rachael Ostovich. She’s left the door open for a return to bare-knuckle, but with Power Slap and a looming rematch with Misfits Boxing star Elle Brooke on the horizon, we don’t anticipate seeing ‘PVZ’ inside the squared circle again anytime soon.
