Yuki Tanaka knocked out Aiji at 1:07 of Round 1 in their featherweight kickboxing bout at ONE SAMURAI 3 on Saturday in Yokohama, Japan. The result settled one of the matchups added when ONE finalized the Yokohama card.
Both debutants opened at a quick pace inside Yokohama Buntai. Aiji stepped into punching range repeatedly, while Tanaka stayed ready to answer during the close exchanges.
ONE Championship published the exact-fight finish immediately after the bout:
Tanaka Found The Counter In A Close Exchange
The finish arrived as Aiji pressed forward with punches. Tanaka met him at short range, landed cleanly and sent Aiji to the canvas. The referee stepped between them and stopped the bout, confirming Tanaka as the winner by knockout after 67 seconds.
The decisive counter separated this result from the three-round scoring battle in Thway Lin Htet’s split-decision victory over Xavier Gonzalez on the same weekend of ONE Championship action.
A Fast Finish Starts The Yokohama Card
The knockout gave Tanaka a successful promotional debut and ended the opening fight before the midpoint of Round 1. Aiji had no opportunity to recover once he hit the canvas.
ONE SAMURAI 3 continued with Muay Thai, kickboxing and MMA bouts at Yokohama Buntai. The quick opener followed a busy Friday schedule that included Yod-IQ winning the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai title in Bangkok.
