Coming off a win over Abdul Razak Alhassan, Joaquin Buckley took on Albert Duraev at UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Emmett at the Moody Center in Austin, TX.

Round 1
Buckley opens with a feint left. Both men circle in the middle of the octagon reading the movement, defensive in their approach. Buckley is jumpy and moving more, connects with a low inside leg kick. Buckley lands a huge left kick to the head of Duraev. Duraev shoots for a takedown but doesn’t get it. Buckley pokes at Duraev with a front kick. Buckley on the outside blitzing in from time to time. Duraev lands a big right kick to the head of Buckley. Duraev dodges Buckley’s three-strike combination. Duraev proving to be elusive here. Nice straight left from Buckley. Duraev with a one-two. Buckley rushes in with multiple strike attempts and misses. Buckley turned the pressure up in the last seconds of the round.
Round 2
Buckley continues to work from the outside. Duraev goes for a takedown and Buckley connects with a left. Head kick for Buckley lands. Buckley rushes in with a left hand on the left side of Duraev. Duraev was going in for the takedown and suffers a knee strike. Duraev pushes Buckley against the cage and gets the takedown. Buckley careful not to give his hips away and keep his head higher than Duraev. Duraev going for his back but Buckley manages to stand up. Duraev’s left eye has swelled up significantly. Another takedown attempt in the middle of the cage.
Huge left from Buckley drops Duraev. Buckley with another left and Duraev shoots for a takedown. He has Buckley against the cage and eventually manages to get him on the ground. Duraev is on Buckley and throwing punches. Buckley goes for a reversal and explodes back to his feet. Spinning back kick attempt by Buckley. Duraev is on the outside now circling Buckley in. Front kick from Buckley misses. Huge left lands for Buckley sending Duraev down right before the buzzer.
Round 3
Duraev can’t see from his left eye and is unable to continue. The referee has called off the fight due to doctor’s stoppage.
Official Result: Joaquin Buckley defeats Albert Duraev via TKO (R3, 0:10).
