Homura Abe knocked out Tuakiao at 2:02 of Round 1 in their strawweight Muay Thai bout at ONE SAMURAI 3 on Saturday at Yokohama Buntai in Japan. The finish followed Yuki Tanaka’s 67-second knockout of Aiji in the event opener.
Abe took the center and worked behind measured kicks while Tuakiao looked for room to counter. The pace increased as the opening round moved past its first minute.
ONE Championship released the exact-fight knockout clip from Abe’s promotional debut:
Abe Broke Through With A Body Attack
Abe stepped in with a body attack that sent Tuakiao to the floor. Tuakiao remained down as the referee called the contest, giving Abe the knockout at the 2:02 mark of the first round.
The finish came one day after Thway Lin Htet returned to the win column at ONE Friday Fights 170, adding another result to the promotion’s two-city weekend schedule.
The 18-Year-Old Wins His ONE Debut
Abe entered the bout at 18 years old and needed just over two minutes to secure his first victory under the ONE Championship banner. The official result placed the teenager among the early winners on the Yokohama card.
The ONE SAMURAI 3 lineup continued after the two opening finishes, following a Bangkok event where Muangthai stopped Seksan in the third round.
