Dakota Ditcheva says she is no longer a Ronda Rousey fan after Rousey mocked Khamzat Chimaev during fight week for her MVP MMA 1 bout with Gina Carano.
Ditcheva, the unbeaten PFL flyweight contender, reacted after Rousey fired back at Chimaev during the buildup to Rousey vs. Carano at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. Chimaev had criticized Rousey over her public UFC complaints, saying there would not have been Ronda Rousey without the UFC. Rousey responded by calling him “cleft-lip Lincoln.”
Ditcheva answered through her own X account and aimed directly at the medical insult.
“@RondaRousey’s comment towards Chimaev regarding his cleft palate was absolutely disgraceful. I am no longer a fan. As a mother, you should know better. The amount of young children navigating difficulties like that while you sit on a worldwide stage mocking it. Do better.”

Ditcheva Calls Out Rousey Before Gina Carano Fight
Ditcheva’s reaction carries weight because she has previously praised Rousey as one of the fighters who helped bring her into the sport. Rousey was the first female UFC champion and became one of the central figures in women’s MMA during her bantamweight title run.
Ditcheva is 15-0 in MMA and competes in the PFL women’s flyweight division. She is a former Muay Thai fighter with a striking-heavy style, and her record includes 12 knockout wins, one submission, and two decisions. Her response was not about Rousey’s UFC issues or Chimaev’s criticism. It was about using a cleft palate as an insult on a public stage.
Rousey faces Carano on Netflix at MVP MMA 1 in her first MMA appearance since her 2016 loss to Amanda Nunes. Carano has not fought since her 2009 loss to Cris Cyborg.
Chimaev questioned Rousey’s attacks on the UFC after Rousey spent the buildup to the Carano fight discussing UFC pay, Dana White, and UFC executive Hunter Campbell. Rousey’s reply brought Ditcheva into the story.
Ditcheva does not currently have a fight booked after withdrawing from a February PFL bout due to injury. Her response stayed focused on Rousey’s wording about Chimaev.
Rousey enters the Carano fight as one of the most influential women in MMA history. Ditcheva’s post focused on the medical condition, the children who deal with it, and her own changed view of Rousey after the public exchange with Chimaev.
