Here’s video of Daniel Cormier struggling to take off his shirt at UFC 230

Daniel Cormier v shirt UFC 230

If this video doesn’t sum up Daniel Cormier than we don’t know what does. DC is the most unassuming yet talented champions in MMA history. With maybe one or two fights left in career, Daniel Cormier’s legacy is set in this sport.

10, 20, or 50 years from now DC’s fight resume will have him as a top five or top 10 fighter of all-time. It’s okay not to be the GOAT but man is DC coming close to grabbing that brass ring.

So of course DC’s toughest battle at UFC 230 was not against Derrick Lewis in the cage but with his Reebok gear before the fight.

Just take a look.

That shirt really had DC struggling. A solid 15 seconds of grappling between the UFC heavyweight champ versus some malfunctioning Reebok gear.

Poor DC. No respect from Reebok and he’s still somehow underrated by fans of MMA.

Two weight UFC class champion, undefeated at heavyweight, Strikeforce Grand Prix and yet it still feel like DC has his fair share of haters. And this isn’t even listing all of Cormier’s amateur wrestling accomplishments.

We all know why DC is still not getting fully embraced by the MMA community: Jon Jones. Which is just insane. DC is scoring a 99.99% on his MMA final exam and yet all you hear is “yeah but”. This is from a guy who didn’t even have his first MMA fight until six months after his 30th birthday.

22-1-1 over the course of nine years and with still one fight to go. From ages 30-40 has any combat sports athlete had a run like Daniel Cormier? Respect to DC and respect to that Reebok gear from trying to get one over on the champ-champ.
