Dateline, New York City on the second of November, this just across the news desk: Jon Jones is still a huge asshole. I mean he’s our giant a-hole and MMA needs him but Jon Jones kind of sucks.
At the first press event for UFC 232 and Bones went full Bones during the first face-off. This just adds to our sneaking suspicion that Jones to going blow out Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 232. We just have a funny feeling about this one and for some twisted reason this outcome would please the Fight Gods.
Does Jones deserve to have his first fight be for a title? The main event of a major UFC pay per view? On per talent both answers are a slam dunk. On principles and doing what is right, Jones doesn’t anything because his hand has been caught in the cookie jar so many damn times already.
It’s a parody at this point really. GOAT Bones does something historic and mind blowing in the cage. Then immediately after he screws up in new and spectacular ways outside of the cage in his personal life.
Now 31 years old, Bones Jones is going to crush the soul of Gus and then snort it right up his nose in the center of the cage. In the days and weeks after UFC 232 on December 29th, Jones will do something incredibly dumb and will throw away all his good will again.
We know the drill.
Now let’s watch Jon Jones push the hell out of Alex G and pause at the exact second Dana White’s heart skips a beat.
