Yeah, it feels like we shouldn’t be watching this video. Mr. Stark? We don’t feel so good. Brian Ortega and his extremely messed up hand does feel good.
Thanks to his mutant healing powers, we’re going to be so stoked when T-City hits a flying triangle at some point during Avengers: Endgame. Just put Ortega in a new Iron Spider suit and see if anyone notices.
When we last checked in with our Cousin Brian, he was getting his health bar taken to zero by Max Holloway. At UFC 231, T-City lost badly and there is no shame in that. It’s kind of the samurai way of life. Lose, learn, rebuild and come back stronger.
In MMA, fans and the media put too much value in losses. Like in life, in MMA nobody is perfect. Fedor, BJ Penn, the Diaz brothers, Saku, Spider Silva, Mystic Mac and many more are all popular fighters despite their flaws. What’s a perfect record if no one wants to watch you keep it?
DC, Joanna Champion, Ortega and countless others are never going to defeat their final boss and that’s okay. We root for you not to win every time out but to lay it all on the line every time out.
Ortega is one of our favorite new fighters in the UFC over the last few years. In his loss to The Blessed One, Ortega took a bad beating and broke his hand to top it all off.
In the video below Brian Ortega films the pins getting taken out his busted hand. It’s gross, graphic and we can’t stop watching the sharp metal objects being pulled from T-City’s skin.
So you wanna be a fighter??? 🤕 Heal up quick and well @BrianTcity . There’s a legion of us waiting to see you put on another show 💪🏼 pic.twitter.com/tg4jgZnr8J
