Jessica Eye face turn alert. Sijara Eubanks has the chances to be one of the best villains in the UFC. Eubanks is following the heel handbook word for word and we’re still not sure she’s doing it on purpose.
Today (Nov. 2) Eubanks missed weight for his UFC 230 fight with fan favorite Roxanne Modafferi. Not a good look.
Eubanks began her UFC career by pulling out of a flyweight title fight against Nicco Montano at the very last minute. Fans did not approve.
Then Sijara Eubanks was gifted a title shot versus Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 230 but the plans were scraped after the UFC added Daniel Cormier vs. Derrick Lewis to the event instead. It wasn’t just that Eubanks didn’t deserve the title it washer reaction to getting with and dealing with fan backlash.
While not being known or popular with the UFC’s core fanbase, Eubanks has somehow found a way to become one of the least likable fighters on the roster for all the wrong reasons. On a roster of over 500 fighters, good or bad, anything that can make you standout may be worth the attention.
Attention? Cue up flyweight Jessica Eye looking to start a beef with the newly Internet famous Eubanks. To her credit Eye got in her car, hit record and cut a decent promo on Eubanks live while driving. This wasn’t Nick Diaz going HAM on Mayhem Miller and tossing out the double fingers but this was Diaz Bros inspired.
