Happy last Sundayof June, happy Francis Ngannou may rule the world again. Francis is back, again, and so are MMA rumors.

UFC never likes to give up control, but Ngannou might be able to have the deck stacked in his favorite. MMA is always better when the heavyweight division is actually interesting.

As always these are rumors that have been talked about behind closed doors between MMA higher ups, so take them as MMA rumors.

  • Huge if true, but rumors are UFC may be planting the seeds for a Francis Ngannou vs. Jon Jones mega fight. A few dominoes have to fall, but many view Daniel Cormier retiring in August as another factoring pushing UFC to this fight.
  • With Dana White’s vocal interest in promoting boxing, new rumors of Zuffa Boxing have surfaced. The new rumor is UFC will allow their MMA roster to stay active and take a boxing fight or two under their supervision.
  • Perhaps a reaction to ONE Championship, but new rumors point to UFC making a renewed push into Asian. UFC’s event in China will be the first of many moves to make dents in China, Japan, Singapore, and more.
  • The short list for Henry Cejudo’s next title fight include Petr Yan, Alijamain Sterling, and now Joseph Benavidez. Fights at 125, 135, and 145 are all on the table for Cejudo when he fights next’ likely in early 2020.
