Conor to boxing, Brock’s beef with ESPN & more in the Sunday Morning Rumor Mill

MMA Rumors McGregor

Always kind of wondered why Conor McGregor just beat the hell out Paulie Malignaggi. MMA rumors aren’t about practice and for reasons nobody really knows, Conor clubbed Paulie when they shared the ring.

Like this infamous sparring sessions was supposed to be practice, right? Mystic Mac knocking down and busting up Malignaggi’s face will never not be funny. Two years later, and maybe the combat sports world is fulfilling it’s prophecy.

As always these are rumors that have been talked about behind closed doors between MMA higher ups, so take them as MMA rumors.

Before anyone spoils Avengers;End Game and tonight’s new episode of Game of Thrones, here is your spoil-free Sunday Morning Rumor Mill.

  • Stop us if you’ve heard this before. A Conor McGregor move to boxing is starting to gain traction again. Crazy. Wild. You may not even want to believe it.
  • The latest Mac rumor is still in its infancy but maybe there is fire behind that smoke. A move over to boxing for another fight, would give McGregor a payout UFC may not be able to provide.
  • Huge if true, but rumors say ESPN is getting in the way of an UFC-Brock Lesnar reunion. The money UFC offered Brock in 2018, is not close to the offer in 2019. Rumors are this may be a ESPN not UFC call.
  • Jack Hermansson versus Chris Weidman may be in the works for an UFC card after Summer.
