ZUFFA issues Google a Cease and Desist Letter in an attempt to rule the internet

In the future, a planetary-sized logo of ZUFFA will be rocketed into space and orbit the earth, alerting the world of its new celestial ruler. It will then be propelled deep into outer-space and blot out the sun, leaving only subscribers of UFC PPVs access to sunlight. Many plants will die out, farmers will have to relocate to Las Vegas, Nevada and all agriculture will be under ZUFFA control. However, before all of that goes down, ZUFFA plans to control the way you search the internet and they’re starting by issuing a Cease and Desist Letter to Google.

CagePotato stumbled across a letter intercepted by Chilling Effects that states ZUFFA’s intent to take ‘immediate action’ to protect their intellectual property by restricting links that are shown when certain search strings are submitted to Google. In short, if you search for ‘UFC 123 stream’ on Google, ZUFFA wants you to not be able to see the search results that yield sites that actually have streams to live UFC PPVs (and other copyrighted content). Check out the letter issued from ZUFFA to Google.

Wow. Chances are this is some elaborate publicity stunt, but as we know from previous cases, Google takes this stuff seriously. It should be interesting to see what pans out in the near future, and that ZUFFA logo example at the beginning of the article; it will happen. [Source]
