UFC Strawweight Champion Weili Zhang: “My American Visa Was Refused Again.”

Weili Zhang became the first fighter from China to win the strawweight title after delivering a TKO win over Jessica Andrade in just 42 seconds at UFC on ESPN+ 15 last month.

Now she’s battling another fight but not inside the octagon.

Zhang took to social media and expressed her disappointment over denied US visa recently.

My American visa was refused again. I don’t know why. Is it the wrong type of visa I should apply for? Or because I’m a single woman? Or is the visa officer in a bad mood at work today? I hope this can be resolved so I can visit and get to meet some of my new friends and fans in America. We are still working on it and hope to have good news in time for me to make the trip on Oct 15th 🙏🏼 🇺🇸 🇨🇳 ✌🏼

But the good thing is presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard reached out UFC champion and promised her a US visa so she can travel to States. To that, Zhang wrote this on her Instagram.

A real strong and successful person is not defined by how many people he knows, but how many people he helped, how many he served, how many people he gathered, how many people he affected, how many people he made!

The future world will not belong to a hideous, self-deception people, but belong to a group of kind, sharing, happy, positive energy group helping others and being honest with each other. know grateful people! If we are unsuccessful with this effort I am still grateful to miss @tulsigabbard for her efforts. She did not need to do this as she is a very busy lady. I don’t understand western politics very well but I know this is a kind lady. Thank you again miss Tulsi 🙏🏼

Even Zhang’s manager Brian Butler posted on his Instagram stories about UFC champ’s recent visa denial and how @tulsigabbard lend her help to Weili.
