Zaromskis/Sakurai II is booked for the next Dream event

I’m pretty sure the official title for this upcoming DREAM card is: Fight for Japan: DREAM 2011 Bantamweight Japan Tournament Final, but I could be wrong. It could be DREAM 17, but I think FEG and co are going with the very long Fight for Japan: DREAM 2011 Bantamweight Japan Tournament Final. A title that won’t fit very well in a banner, I will tell you that much. I tried for 20 minutes to make it work but it’s just too many words.

MMAFighting is reporting that this non title rematch from the DREAM 2009 welterweight GP is slated for July 16th. Zaromskis is 2-3-1 and Mach Sakurai is 0-4 since they last traded blows, so it’s a bummer someone needs to lose in this one. Either way, if they are doing the fight for Japan thing it’s for charity, and I welcome the headkicks and the return of Mach Sakurai for charity always. I just hope it is broadcast live like this Mario Bros marathon for charity that goes down tonight.

July is shaping up to be a pretty awesome month for MMA.
