Yves Edwards predicts explosions against Sam Stout

It still blows my mind that Yves Edwards invites a live studio audience into his basement to film Ask a Thug Jitsu Master. Weirder still, he insists they stay and applaud at appropriate moments while he edits the show together using a dual VCR setup, one stacked on top of the other, connected by RCA cables. Old school.

The Thug Jitsu Master himself will do battle against Same Stout tomorrow on Spike, and in typical Yves fashion he predicts some explosive poo is going to go down.

“I’m trying to do everything right, and I think I’ve got things on the right track getting with some good guys, gaining skills and focused on getting better at this fight game. I want to leave something behind.”

“Sam’s tough, but you know me. I like to move like a ninja, so I stay quiet and do my thing. I’m going to do the same thing on Saturday night. I’m going to out there and just bring the thugjitsu to the cage. It’s not going to be easy by any means, but I feel confident about the fight.”

“He’s a really technical striker, and I think I’m the same. There’s going to be a lot of good footwork, a lot of angles. I think this is going to be really exciting. It’s going to be some major explosive s—.”

It will be a pleasure to witness the Sensei’s 58th pro fight, I’m sure.
