In 2011, you may recall a movie staring Hugh Jackman with robots beating the snot out of each other called ‘Real Steel.’ I did everything in my power to see it when it first came out, but slowly lost interest and waited until last September following Jon Jones refusing to fight Chael Sonnen at UFC 151. I figured that since we couldn’t watch the UFC that night, I’d have robots entertain me with a similar form of combat goodness. It was only a matter of time before someone decided to make it into an actual spectacle, and luckily, they’ve hired actual fighters and Olympic athletes to pilot the robots to victory. Among the roster sits Amanda Lucas, our favorite one of George Lucas’ kids who happens to also be an MMA fighter. Although her robot doesn’t fight in the opening round of competition, you now watch the entire first episode of Robot Combat League here on MiddleEasy, courtesy of SyFy.com.

If it’s your first time seeing robots fight, we suggest you rewatch the entire Terminator franchise and prepare yourselves for judgement day. There should be no doubt in any of your minds that everything in that movie is actually going to happen now. Somewhere in those films is the key to bringing down Skynet.
