Over the last couple of years you guys have all gotten to know MiddleEasy’s own contributing writer and the first fighter to ever wear the red monster in the UFC octagon here on MiddleEasy and you’ve gotten to see him do his favorite man dance a handful of times in the UFC since his start back on TUF season 9. Well now, our favorite red monster-Damarques Johnson is going to be back at it this September to fight TUF 13 alumni Clay Harvison and you are reading iton MiddleEasy.com first. I hope that’s not the equivalent of posting ‘First!’ on a thread on the UG. Oh well, I’m sitting at home throwing confetti and bashing in a donkey pinata in celebration for our guy. Anyway, trust us it’s true we got the news from some very reliable sources close to the Johnson camp.
D-Zilla will be fighting Clay at the New Orleans UFN 25 event, this following a loss to Amir Sadollah in March of this year and prior to that an amazing submission win against Mike Guymon. That insane almost spine snapping submission earned D-Zilla honorable mention in the UFC’s 2011 submission of the half year. We hunted D-Zilla down like the creepy stalkers that we are and he told us we can definitely ‘expect it to be fun to watch!’ No doubt! Red monster power! Watch for it on September 17th.
