Yair Rodriguez went nuts in the UFC 277 crowd for his fellow countryman, Brandon Moreno, and his TKO win for the interim flyweight title.
Yair Rodriguez Went Nuts For Brandon Moreno’s Win
Over the weekend, Brandon Moreno again became a UFC champion when he topped Kai Kara-France in the UFC 277 co-main event.
Moreno put Kara-France away with a nasty liver kick that won him the interim UFC flyweight title.
Now, this sets the table for a meeting between Moreno and flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo.
In the crowd at UFC 277 were several fighters, however, none more stood out than UFC featherweight contender Yair Rodriguez.
Video caught Rodriguez’s reaction to Moreno’s big win, and Rodriguez was over the moon for his fellow countryman’s victory.

Both Rodriguez and Moreno fight out of Mexico. Moreno is actually the first-ever Mexican-born champion in UFC history.
Rodriguez is a highly accomplished fighter under the UFC’s banner in his own right. He’s hoping to follow in Moreno’s footsteps at capture UFC gold.
Currently, Rodriguez is the No. 2-ranked featherweight in the UFC. His last outing resulted in a TKO win over Brian Ortega.
Now, he’s hoping to take on Alexander Volkanovski for the undisputed featherweight title relatively soon.
It remains to be seen if and when the UFC decides to officially book that contest.
