My god, this UFC violence has been potent this weekend, and it all capped with Wonderboy Thompson doing exactly what Wonderboy does and landed creative and flashy strikes to dave Jake Ellenberger, and eventually finish him. The fight was back and forth to start, with Ellenberger still showing his crafty, veteran stuff, but as someone who’s lost four of his last five, you have to wonder how much the 30-year-old has left.
It’s not like Ellenberger has anything left to prove, but it’s clear he can’t really hang with the upper echelon in the division anymore. Wonderboy, however, has won five straight and is making waves with the second-longest win streak in the division. With that said, this was his biggest win, and he needs another strong win against a vet to prove he belongs. I’ll be glad to watch. Dude is fun as hell.
Just look at this kick to Ellenberger’s temple. He never saw it coming. Props to Big John from stopping even more damage.
