A woman who filed a personal injury claim lawsuit against Irish megastar Conor McGregor was the subject of a terrifying home invasion on Friday, June 14.
According to a report from The Irish Mail, a trio of unidentified individuals stormed into a house located on Dublin’s southside in the early morning hours and is said to have sent the woman’s partner to the hospital with stab wounds.
Fortunately, the woman and her child were unharmed, but have not yet returned to the residence while local authorities complete their investigation of the incident.
Per the report, the intruders made their way upstairs where the woman’s partner met them at the bedroom door. They allegedly yelled, “Where’s the money?!” before pushing the man back and punching him in the face. He managed to fight back, forcing the burglars back down the stairs, but suffered a stab wound to the stomach during the skirmish.
“Gardaí received report of an incident of aggravated burglary that occurred at a premises in Drimnagh, Dublin 12 at approximately 2:20am this morning, Friday, June 14,” local officials told reporter Debbie McCann. “One man in his 30s has been conveyed to St James’ Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries sustained as a result of this incident. Investigations are ongoing at this time.”
The Lawsuit Against Conor McGregor Stems From a 2018 Sexual Assault Allegation
Days before McGregor was scheduled to fight Dustin Poirier at UFC 257, the Irishman was slapped with a multi-million dollar lawsuit after he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman at the Beacon Hotel in Dublin on the night of Dec. 9, 2018.

The incident was investigated by local law enforcement, but no criminal charges were filed.
“After an exhaustive investigation conducted by the Gardaí which, in addition to interviews of the plaintiff, included interviewing numerous sources, obtaining witnesses’ statements, examining closed circuit footage and the cooperation of Conor McGregor, these allegations were categorically rejected,” McGregor’s spokesperson Karen Kessler told Independent.ie.
“The plaintiff knows the facts contradict the assertions in this lawsuit. Mr. McGregor will dispute any claims and is confident that justice will prevail.”
Proceedings for the pending lawsuit are to begin in November and are expected to last two weeks.
There is no evidence that the attack on the woman is in any way related to her case against Conor McGregor.
