With a rear naked choke win over Scott Jorgensen, Urijah Faber remains the Alpha Male

This article was so close to having a Master/Apprentice speech like the one Vader spat after cutting (lazering?) down Obi Wan Kenobi in Episode 4, but it wasn’t meant to be. Try as he might, Scottie Jorgensen couldn’t defeat the man who helped get him into the sport of MMA, and even though it was a scrap that could satisfy even the most bitter grappler, a moral victory doesn’t have a column next to the wins, losses, ties and draws.

The fight was a back and forth clinic on the rawsomicity of wrestling in MMA when applied like a boss, and for a while there it looked like Jorgensen was going to make a comeback, but then Urijah took his back and sealed the deal in the 4th. I’d also like to admit that this week of Urijah/Uriah has been a real pain.

So what now for the California Kid? With back to back finish wins for the first time since 2007, it may be time for him to get yet another shot at the winner of Wineland/Barao or what?
