On August 29th in Dubai Ben Askren will fight for a second time under the One FC banner, this time challenging Nobutatsu Suzuki for Suzuki’s One FC Welterweight Championship. For Ben Askren title fights aren’t a new thing at all, considering that he absolutely blew through Bellator’s Welterweight division to win a tournament, then the Championship, then defended it a whopping four times before leaving the organization and joining OneFC.
Our buds at Whoa TV caught up with Ben Askren to talk to him about his upcoming fight with Nobutatsu Suzuki and, unsurprisingly enough, Askren promises to do what he’s done in every other fight to date; take him down, punch him and win. Of course he leaves out a lot of the decision stuff, but we can’t fault the guy for being a tremendous wrestler, plus he has a few impressive finishes under his belt now.
