Never forget that at one point Fabricio Werdum was the linear heavyweight champion of the world until his strange fight with Overeem in Strikeforce. I think he might still be the Wamma champion as well, but I’m not 100% positive about that. Now, after two impressive performances over Roy Nelson and Mike Russow since his return to the UFC, Vai Cavalo seems kind of interested in returning to Strikeforce to take on Daniel Cormier – which is something literally 0% of the MiddleEasy office is against. Luckily for science, I had a Daniel Cormier CAF on my EA MMA downloaded before EA pulled the plug on the servers, so I just ran a CPU simulation of Werdum Vs. Cormier and Werdum subbed Cormier in the first round.
Take the EA MMA simulation for what it is, but this is a fight announcement that would only be met with handshakes and smiles. LayzieTheSavage just told me that he would rather this fight be for the UFC title in the nearish future, but personally I just want fights to actually materialize.
