Extraterrestrial beings could land on the White House lawn this morning and I still wouldn’t be excited as I am for the rematch of Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen. If you feel that MiddleEasy has been over saturated with an influx of Sonnen/Silva related topics, it’s only because you did not witness UFC 117 live nor did you experience any of the banter leading up to the card. Still one of my favorite videos we’ve ever published is when I photoshopped Chael’s head on the body of the Virgin Mary and carefully edited every epic Sonnen moment from the UFC 117 pre-fight conference call nearly two years ago.
One rule I’ve learned in MMA is only bet your entire July rent against Anderson Silva if you have a desire to lose your entire July rent. That’s not necessarily saying Anderson Silva will defeat Chael Sonnen at UFC 148 this weekend. It’s more like an intervention — because you really shouldn’t bet that much money on any MMA fight. If you do, just give it to me instead. I’ll find some good uses for it, like all of this stuff.
