The Invicta logo leads me to believe the word actually means a dragon hatching being born with communist star behind it. The word ‘invicta’ is Latin and it means ‘unvanquished’ or ‘without vanquishing.’ Don’t worry, I’ll define the word ‘vanquish’ for you. There’s no need to bring Google into this. It means to be defeated in battle — so Invicta can be translated: ‘to never be defeated in battle.’ If that’s the case, then we would see a hell of a lot more draws in the organization. There wouldn’t even be a champion — in fact, every fighter from the first Invicta would still be fighting at this exact moment.
Fortunately Invicta FC doesn’t quite hold up to its literal meaning. That would be devastating of women’s MMA rankings. However, this video from Allelbows of Invicta FC is invicta. That’s a little bit redundant. This video unvanquished. There, that should work. Now check out the slickly edited clip of behind the scenes at Invicta FC 3.
