My only hope in 2011 is that we collectively agree to stop using the theoretical match-up of Superman vs. Batman to describe another theoretical match-up that should happen in MMA. Superman is an alien that can shot lasers from his eyes. Batman is a philanthropist. Bruce Wayne has more in common with Warren Buffett than whatever romanticized depiction of a badass you’ve conjured over the years. We should all compare Brock Lesnar vs. Cain Velasquez to the more appropriate ‘Superman vs. Green Lantern’ theoretical match-up, a match-up that has apparently happened without my knowledge. Damn.
