Everyone likes a good hot dog. You can lie and say you don’t but I’m pretty sure when that Sonic Premium Beef Hot Dog commercial comes on TV your saliva glands begin salivating. Ground up mysterious meat parts stuck inside a snappy casing, covered in random vegetables and various condiments, shoved neatly in a smooshy bun-yum. It’s something we all want to be disgusted by, but we just keep going back for more. Hot dogs, we just can’t quit you-especially if you are a Sahlen’s dog. If you ever happen to be in Buffalo, NY-try one. Your mouth will be happy you did.
Seth Petruzelli likes hot dogs too. He likes them so much he decided to try a hot dog eating contest for the first time ever this summer. The challenger was an enormous 22 inch long chili cheese dog shoved into a bun with a side of fries and baked beans. Twenty two inches is whole lot of meat to handle.
