Khabib Nurmagomeov Was Given A Heroic Welcome On His Return To Russia After Beating Irishman
Undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov received a massive hero’s welcome as soon he landed in Russia after beating Conor Mcgregor at UFC 229 Pay-Per-view event this past Saturday night from Las Vegas.
Nurmagomedov was greeted by over 10,000 fans at Anzhi-arena in Makhachkala on Monday.
Dagestani native proudly flaunted his UFC lightweight title belt and posed next to his father and coach Abdulmanap during the ceremony.
Khabib’s involvement in a post-fight brawl at UFC 229 has rightfully drawn scorn and possible punishment. Dana White said he feels ‘Eagle’ should get a $250,000 fine and suspension of four to six months from Nevada State Athletic Commision. Khabib’s fight purse of $2 million is still withholding by Commission pending further investigation, which could be resolved by next month.
