What happens when you are too expendable to be in the Expendables? You star in direct-to-DVD movies like “Sensei” Steven Seagal has been doing for the past few years. The upcoming feature from Steven Seagal is called Absolution where Seagal plays what looks to be the same character the Steven Seagal plays in just about every one of his films; a soft-spoken bad ass who has to right some cosmic wrong using guns and martial arts.
Vinnie Jones plays the bad guy in the movie, which is also the least shocking bit about this. UFC Heavyweight Josh Barnett, though, yeah, he has a role in this film. He’s a dude in a suit who talks about how bad ass Steven Seagal is and how they are going to have problems taking out Sensei Seagal. This looks like a pile of weirdness, does it not?
