For a journalist covering the sport of MMA, it seems asking a fighter to choke you out or hit you with a kick or punch is the played out yet still popular and fun to watch thing to do. It’s kind of like the ‘Dougie’ of MMA journalism tricks-everybody loves it, everybody loves it. It’s been done a million times already but we still love to see it when it goes down. Jay Mohr of Fox Sports Radio is the latest obviously not athletically inclined journalist type to put himself in harm’s way for all of our sadistic enjoyment.
Mohr not only asks Griffin to choke him until he sees stars a couple of times in this clip, but he also gets a wild hair and decides to let Griffin give him a little love tap to the liver region. Maybe I’m just a big five-letter word that means ‘cat’, but I don’t think I will ever purposely ask someone to pummel me there. I sure do get happy when I see someone else attempt to endure a liver beating and fail miserably at it though.
