Together again. A few months after UFC 100, Dana White and the UFC were so close to putting on a Fedor Emelianenko vs. Brock Lesnar super-fight. The heavyweight fight to end all heavyweight fights would have filled up Dallas Cowboys Stadium and the UFC would be praised by even the harshest MMA critics for years to come.
Several years later White and UFC are still dreaming about the one that got away. Fedor plus the UFC could be this year’s big summer fling.
Now with Fedor out of retirement and the UFC always looking for another proven headliner, the two opposites may come together for some MMA fight promotion. After UFC Fight Night 71, White was asked about the UFC courting the recently unretired Fedor and the UFC president got so giddy. Love is in the air and maybe now is the time for Fedor and the UFC to join together as a couple.
