Some of you wonder what it’s really like to be a pro fighter. Well, there’s a lot of cardio, dieting, weight training, and then there’s that whole sparring and icing stuff you have to do. Another part of training is being thick skinned in the face of practical jokes. In fact, the more you resist, the more you’re going to get hazed at the gym. Some places have it worse than others, but it pretty much happens everywhere. If you’re Pat Barry, they hold you down and shave your head, in Croatia, sometimes machine guns are involved, but the ongoing prank war between Alan Belcher and Ben Askren is escalating from its G rating and entering PG-13 territory.
Last week, Belcher nailed Askren with a pie-in-the-face, three stooges style. It was only a matter of time, but you knew there would be some sort of retaliation. Well, the suspense is over: It came a couple of days later in the form of Ben Askren delivering a fistful of flour to Alan Belcher’s face while he was sleeping, and here’s the footage.
