Wanderlei Silva vs. Michael Bisping going down at UFC 110

Orcs around Middle Earth finally have a reason to celebrate again. After taking over Pensacola a few months ago, Wanderlei Silva is just one step closer to his pursuit of a full-scale planetary conquest when he will meet Michael Bisping at UFC 110. This will be Wandy’s first bout since his facial reconstructive surgery in the summer. Originally this bout was supposed to go down at UFC 105 but after Wandy’s face was surgically removed and exchanged for a cleaner, more friendly version, Dennis Kang stepped in to replace Silva. A couple weeks later, the Sherdog guys broke the rumor (via Luke Thomas from Bloody Elbow) that Wanderlei Silva will be banging against Yoshirio Akiyama at UFC 108. The rumor decided to lace up it’s New Balance and run a little when Bloody Elbow reported that Akiyama was now training at Xtreme Couture with Shawn Tompkins. Things started to look, ugh, sexy for Sexyama. It’s tough for a guy to call another guy a nickname that begins with ‘Sexy’ but when you can rock a snakeskin belt with a leather fedora…you pretty much have to. Dana White confirmed the bout was going down at UFC 109 days later, everyone celebrated with a vegetable/cheese tray and then this morning MMAJunkie.com confirmed that Sexyama will in fact not be facing Wanderlei and that he has been replaced with Michael Bisping. The bout was also pushed off the UFC 109 and moved to UFC 110 Australian card.

UFC 110 seems to be coming together nicely like Transformers. Cro Cop vs. Ben Rothwell, Dong Hyun Kim vs. Chris Lytle, Bonnar vs. Krzysztof Soszynski and of course Bisping vs. Silva. UFC 110, another method ZUFFA has discovered which will instantly snatch $59.95 out of my pocket (Sorry Ayesha at The Gentlemen’s Club, you will have to find someone else to buy your baby formula that weekend).
