It’s a new school year and if there’s one thing we all learned from this summer’s World Cup, it’s that soccer isn’t nearly as exciting as MMA. Even if you tried out for your high school or college teams, the soccer-kicks you learned from watching Japanese MMA probably aren’t allowed in the league you would play in. Wanderlei Silva is known for some of the most brutal soccer kicks in the history of Pride, but unless the circular object has a body attached to it, chances are he doesn’t have any ambitions of kicking it around the Saitama Super Arena. Unfortunately, the days of The Axe Murderer’s MMA career are currently on hold while he nurses his broken ribs, so rather than sitting at home eating Lucky Charms and kicking around a remote control, he’s taking a world tour to meet fans, sign autographs, and get a tattoo to represent how much he loves his wife.
