Wanderlei Silva Fires Back At Fat Rampage Jackson And Wants To Beat Him Like A ‘Roly-Poly Toy’

The rivalry between Quinton Jackson and Wanderlei Silva is one of the most famous in MMA history.

Quinton Jackson, an MMA legend, having fought all across the globe. Last week, “Rampage,” lost by unanimous decision to Chael Sonnen in the Bellator Heavyweight Grand Prix, he still has cravings of fighting for the heavyweight title and squaring up with his longtime rival Wanderlei Silva.

The Axe Murderer” initially took out Jackson on two occasions in 2003 and 2004 before Rampage Jackson got his revenge four years later at UFC 92 via first-round knockout.

Quinton Jackson told Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour that he’d like to take on Wanderlei Silva for the fourth time in his next fight.

“I owe Wanderlei [Silva] another ass whooping, I’ll tell you that. I know he’s not a heavyweight. The last time I fought him I knocked him out of the weight class. But he beat me twice. I only beat him once. I think I owe him another ass whooping. I probably could get down to 205, but I don’t know. I’m walking around at 250, 260. That’s a big one. If I had my way [it’d be at heavyweight] but like I said, Wanderlei is not a heavyweight. I probably could get down to 205 now that I’ve got my nutritionist. My motivation is still the heavyweight belt. Even if I’m out of the tournament, whoever wins that belt I’m gonna challenge him right away.”

Silva appears to be interested in beating up Jackson but cites his conditions.

”I will (talk to Bellator president Scott Coker), but I want to do this rematch with ‘Rampage’ at Arena da Baixada, in Curitiba,” Silva told Gazeto do Povo (Via MMAFighting.com) “I’ll put this as a condition, to be in my hometown. Then it would be worth the effort. Money alone isn’t worth it, it has to be something more, and that would be fighting in front of my friends in Curitiba.”

”I’m kind of big, too, with 229 pounds,” he said. “I’m training a bit stronger. He’s fat. I want to beat him up like a roly-poly toy. I’d beat him up. I hate him so much.

”That knockout he gave me (at UFC 92), hit a lucky hand on my chin. And after I went down he went there and landed another one. I hate him. I only wait for the next one to return the favor. It will be a brawl, the way people want.”

There already have been three previous clashes between “Rampage” and “The Axe Murderer.” Silva won twice under the now-defunct PRIDE banner, but Jackson came out on top in the third encounter at UFC 92.

Wanderlei Silva said if get an opportunity he’d ‘beat fat Jackson up like a roly-poly toy’.
