Wanderlei Silva believes Shogun Rua will end Chael Sonnen’s career at UFC on Fox Sports

It’s been about three years since we’ve seen the video of Wanderlei Silva threatening Chael Sonnen in the backseat of a car. Since that day, Chael Sonnen received three title shots, a coaching job on The Ultimate Fighter, a hosting gig with FOX Sports — and he was married to his longtime girlfriend. Wanderlei Silva on the other hand, he’s gone 2-2 in the UFC. That’s it for The Axe Murderer. In fact, there hasn’t been much murdering in or out of the Octagon.

Wand’s been enjoying life — there’s no need to prove himself anymore. The MMA world has already witnessed what Wanderlei was capable of in Pride FC. Fighting is a switch that can be turned on at any given time, and for Wandy that switched has been faulty for years now. It still does not negate the fact that he’s paved the way for psychos to muay-thai a person’s soul out of the back of their head. Let’s all just accept the fact that Wand wants to enjoy a violence-free lifestyle and move on. Stop claiming Wanderlei Silva ‘isn’t the same Wanderlei Silva.’ It’s disrespectful.

Although we all want to see Sonnen vs. Silva inside the Octagon, chances are it probably won’t happen. That still hasn’t stopped Wandy from throwing verbal barbs at Sonnen with claims that Shogun Rua will end his career at UFC on Fox Sports next month.
