Video: Sage Northcutt trying exotic foods in Singapore is the content we need

That’s our Sage. In case you were curious, Sage Northcutt and his tour of southeast Asia is going swimmingly. Sage was born to be placed into new locals and observing how he reacts.

The UFC promoted Sage well but they really blew it some areas. There is just so much Sage content to consume. At one point it felt like the UFC and MMA fans were at a Sage breaking point.

The duo of both Sage and Paige VanZant came into the UFC around the same time and were promoted in similar ways. While fans were slower to come around to PVZ, it looks like Sage is going from someone fans actively booed to someone they can get behind.

It’s still early in his career but can Sage already have a career resurgence in terms of popularity? Um is Sage turning into an anti-hero MMA fans love to cheer for? Maybe not to that extreme but the fact that the UFC invested a ton in Sage and then Sage maximized his free agency to the fullest is pretty surprising.

How many times does the UFC let a young, talented and marketable fighter slip through their fingers?

Sage did that and now he’s in ONE Championship making viral videos. Not just Sage lifting weights or throwing Karate kicks but he’s doing interesting stuff.

Like this video below where heavyweight kickboxer Alain Ngalani makes our young hero eat some authentic Singapore street food. Everything looks fresh and delicious, and Sage’s has a wide eyed bewilderment at all of it.

Sage’s mind was almost blown by the white rice; this isn’t even a joke. Never change Sage Northcutt.

Update: Remember when Tyron Woodley taught Sage how to season chicken with the most basic spices and he taste buds were floored? Good times.
