Video: Meanwhile in Brazil cornermen are hopping the cage, attacking fighters because refs are bad

Attacking MMA referees is the wave of the future. The bigger MMA gets the worst it’s crack team of judges, refs and overall sanctioning bodies become.

In 2017, MMA may have reached capacity. No thanks, sorry we’re full. No more cage fights to be held. Sold out.

From an obscure regional event in Brazil over the weekend, here is a paid referee just casually watching as a fighter gets puts to sleep in a chokehold. The ref watches some more. And watches for a few more seconds. Then the ref decides to the old pro wrestling “lift up their hand to watch to it fall” move to check if he’s asleep.

AND THE FIGHTER HANDS DROPS HIS LIFELESS HAND BUT THE REF STILL DOESN’T STOP THE FIGHT?!?!? Are you serious? Finally the cornermen jump the cage and attack the fighter holding on to the choke because the ref in the cage is too busy checking housing prices on Zillow while in the cage.

The Bing translate on this tweet pretty much sums up the entire ordeal

“CFC: Shadow beat Maheswari Paturi via submission, when the Octagon was invaded by a team member of the Duck and assaulted Shadow”

Ods: se não bater vai dormir, Mais uma Vitória graças a Deus fui agredido no final do combate mais deu tudo ok.

“Ods: if not beat goes to sleep, another victory thank God I was beaten at the end of the fight plus gave everything ok.”
