Started from the bottom now he’s here. Fans rarely get to see the exact moment a fighter finds out he has just been signed to the biggest mixed martial arts promotion on the planet. A pro since 2012, Welsh bantamweight Brett Johns finally got signed by the UFC this week and the second he found out was caught live on Skype.
With an unbeaten 12-0 record and a Titan FC 135 pound belt around his waist, Johns and his team knew this moment was going to come but it doesn’t make it any less emotional. Real grown man tears pour from the face of Johns as his manger breaks the news to him. Tears of joy. Tears of a long journey. Tears of Ultimate Fighting facing the pain variety.
Johns makes his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 99 on November 19th versus Kwan Ho Kwak. Congrats to Brett Johns and welcome to the UFC.
This is what it's ALL about.
