Video: Let Justin Buchholz and Cody Garbrandt recap the Diaz vs. Guida backstage brawl at UFC 199

So even when Nate Diaz is walking around backstage at an UFC event, minding his own business trouble seems to find him. According to reports backstage and Internet rumors, Diaz and his crew had a brawl with Clay Guida and his crew at UFC 199. Just because Diaz is in Southern California at an UFC show doesn’t mean Stockton rules don’t apply.

Stockton rules are always in full effect.

Not only were Diaz and per reports Guida’s older brother, and former MMA fighter, Jason locked in a pull apart brawl but Team Alpha Male were there to watch the whole ordeal unfold. Follow-up question, were from some unexplained reason TAM shirtless during this Diaz vs. Guida throwdown?

On their podcast Stud Radio, Justin Buchholz and Cody Garbrandt of Team Alpha Male give us a nice play by play of the UFC 199 behind the scenes scuffle. Fast forward to the 20:30 mark of the show to listen to each fighter give their perspective on the incident.

Also backstage to witness the melee were Evan Rodner and UFC welterweight Nicolas Dalby. Transcription courtesy of our friends over at MMA Mad

“It looked like Nate Diaz got into an altercation with Jason Guida, Clay Guida’s older brother” Rodner stated. “I have no idea what it was over, but all of a sudden there were a ton of bodies entering the tunnels in the back (of the arena). After the scuffle had ended, Diaz walked back into the arena as though nothing had happened. He didn’t give on single fuck.”
