The second most anticipated freak show fight of 2017 (1st being Mayweather VS. McGregor) is in danger of being canceled, sadly Gabi Garcia came in 26lbs over the weigh in limit. Which is pretty grim considering it was an open weight match up.
Her opponent Shinobu Kandori responded by throwing a tantrum at Garcia and immediately leaving the scene, screaming ‘This is a disgrace !’. It’s uncertain whether the will fight go ahead or not. Garcia has posted a few cryptic tweets on Twitter as seen below. Almost hinting at the fact ‘a fight’ may still take place. Although a Rizin executive later clarified on stage that ‘Competition-wise this fight can not take place.’ But who knows ? This is Rizin ‘The wild west’ of MMA.
