UFC strawweight Vanessa Demopoulos repeated her signature celebration with former middleweight champion and analyst Michael Bisping after a win at UFC Vegas 65.

Demopoulos faced Maria Oliveira on the preliminary card of Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 215. She went into the bout looking to extend her two-fight winning run after beating Jinh Yu Frey and Silvana Gomez Juarez. The ladies battled it out for the full three rounds with Demopoulos getting the nod on the judges’ scorecards by unanimous decision.

She closed a successful year with her third win.

Vanessa Demopoulos repeats Joe Rogan celebration by jumping into Michael Bisping’s arms

Following her win over Oliveira, Vanessa Demopoulos repeated her signature celebration with Michael Bisping during the post-fight octagon interview.

‘Lil Monster’ pulled off a similar stunt after her first-round finish over Juarez at UFC 270. When popular podcast host and UFC color commentator Joe Rogan heaped praises on her during the post-fight interview, Demopoulos jumped in his arms and posed for the cameras.

She attempted to try the same with Bisping after defeating Yu Frey in June at UFC Fight Night: Tsarukyan vs. Gamrot. However, she reported unsatisfactory feedback from Bisping and preferred Rogan’s embrace over his.

Demopoulos was relieved ‘cool guy’ Rogan followed along

Demopoulos opened up about how she came up with the idea to embrace Rogan and admitted she was nervous about whether he would play along or not.

“I do so much positive self-talk and I thought, ‘Joe Rogan’s gonna interview me, this is gonna be my moment,’” Demopoulos told MMA Fighting. “I’m just gonna put my arm around him, put one leg up, the other leg up, and he’s just gonna hoist me up. That’s what’s going to happen, and it was so flawless. It happened exactly the way I thought in my head over and over again. I was like, ‘Let’s go!’. It was so freaking cool that he went along with it. What a cool guy.

Vanessa Demopoulos was aiming to step inside the octagon four times a year but will likely have to settle with her third appearance. She racked up an impressive run in the year and will look to inch closer to title contention with higher-level matchups ahead.
