Shevchenko responds to Rousey.

Valentina Shevchenko spoke out after Ronda Rousey used her name while talking about pay in the UFC.

Rousey made the remark during a press conference in Los Angeles while discussing what she believes are problems with how fighters are paid. During the conversation, she brought up the current flyweight champion.

“It’s why their champions, like Valentina, are selling pictures of their titties on OnlyFans, you know?” Rousey said.

The comment quickly drew attention across the MMA world. Shevchenko soon replied and shared her own view about athletes using platforms like OnlyFans.

Champion Gives Her Response

Shevchenko answered by pointing out that the sports world has changed and fighters now use different ways to connect with supporters.

“It’s 2026. Fighters using OnlyFans is just a new way to connect with fans. Looks like Ronda slept too long after her last fight in 2016.”

The reply also referenced Rousey’s final MMA appearance. Rousey last fought in December 2016, when she was defeated by Amanda Nunes in a UFC bantamweight title fight.

After many years away from competition, Rousey is preparing to fight again. The former UFC bantamweight champion will meet Gina Carano on May 16.

The bout will take place at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. The event is being promoted by Most Valuable Promotions and will stream on Netflix.

Carano, who became one of the early stars of women’s MMA during her time in Strikeforce, is also returning after many years away from competition.

Rousey’s original comments were part of a wider discussion about how much fighters earn in mixed martial arts. She argued that some athletes look for other ways to earn money outside of fighting.
