  • Valentina Shevchenko’s leg could be seen badly-bruised in her post-UFC 275 bikini photo
  • The reigning flyweight champion has overcome arguably the toughest challenge of her career as a champion

Valentina Shevchenko appears to be very happy just days after she successfully defended her flyweight belt against Taila Santos at UFC 275 this past weekend. The reigning champ posted a bikini photo, exposing her bruised leg from the tough battle.

Enjoying her victory

After a hard-fought victory, Shevchenko decided to unwind a bit at what is likely to be a resort in Singapore. The 34-year-old showed off her fit physique in the bikini photo she posted on Instagram with caption, “After the fight.”

The angle of Shevchenko’s photo also provided fans a view of her badly-beaten leg, a result of her brutal five-round war with Santos in the co-main event of UFC 275.

Shevchenko was tested

Fans were truly entertained by Shevchenko vs. Santos as the pair engaged in a dog fight from the opening to the final bell. It can be recalled that though the reigning champ ended up winning via a close split decision, some are convinced that Santos won the fight, having been able to control and dominate Shevchenko on the ground a number of times throughout the match.

Nevertheless, Shevchenko survived and Santos failed to get the job done. In the process, the win saw “Bullet,” who now has seven successful title defenses to her name, surpassing Ronda Rousey in most number of title defenses.
