Valentijn Overeem fell out of a ring in Finland and the bout was canceled due to safety concerns, this is video of the aftermath

Out of the multitude of fighters on this planet, only four have submitted Randy Couture and out of that same exact population of individuals, only one has submitted Babalu Sobral. His name is Valentijn Overeem and he has the same freakishly mutated genetics that instructed a group of cells to form the behemoth that we commonly call ‘Alistair Overeem,’ or the more accurate ‘Ubereem.’

Valentijn has a holiday for a first name which must mean something in this world; I’m just not sophisticated enough to figure it out. Last week, Valentijn Overeem competed in something called United Striking Alliance: S1-Challenge, a promotion that touts it’s MMA but without any ground fighting. In the industry, we call that ‘kickboxing,’ but we’re just going to let S-1 do whatever S-1 does. During Overeem’s bout against James Wilson, both fighters actually fell out of the ring. The bout was stopped after it was discovered the architecture of the ring wasn’t even safe to compete in. The fight was ruled a ‘No-Contest’ and now Valentijn has a gnarly scar over his head from literally landing head first into concrete. Check out video of the aftermath, and props to ULTMMA for bringing this to our attention.
