Usman’s Manager Ali Abdelaziz Believes Jorge Masvidal, Not Colby Covington Deserves Next Title Shot

Kamaru Usman’s Manager: ‘Colby Is Terrible Person And Doesn’t Deserve Title Shot’

Things aren’t that good between new UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington. Two weeks ago both got into a fist fight at the Palm Casino Resort in Vegas just a day after Usman defeated former welterweight champ Tyron Woodley at UFC 235.

Later ESPN’s Brett Okamoto reported that UFC said outspoken welterweight Covington will be Kamaru Usman’s first challenger. Date and venue have yet to be determined.

After this incident, the fight between these two will be one hell of fireworks.

However, now Usman’s manager Ali Abdelaziz taking a shot at Covington saying Jorge Masvidal who’s coming off a spectacular KO win over Darren Till deserves the next 170-pound title shot not ‘Chaos.’

Just spoke to UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman’s manager Ali Abdelaziz: “We think Jorge Masvidal deserves the next title shot. Not Colby Covington. Colby is a terrible person and doesn’t deserve it. Jorge just knocked out Darren Till like that? He should be next.” via ESPN’s Brett Okamoto.

Former ONE and Bellator champion Ben Askren fired a shot at Ali, but Abdelaziz handled the case carefully.

Brett Okamoto approached Covington and asked his side of the story on the matter.

”Nah but nothing would surprise me with that little terrorist rat after hearing from my people about how desperate he has looked the last couple weeks begging for anyone to fight Snoozeman except (me) the most deserving and Real World Champion!” Covington wrote. “I don’t blame him though because he knows I’m going to smash his meal ticket!”

Masvidal is back into column after a two-fight skid. He last won back in January 2017 via TKO of Donald Cerrone. Meanwhile, Covington last fought back in June at UFC 225 where he picked up a unanimous decision win over Rafael dos Anjos.
