Today when I was preparing my favorite peanut butter, frozen yogurt and berries smoothie, my brain decided it was an appropriate time to remember and reenact the dialogue from a scene in the movie Pee Wee’s Big Adventure. I can’t explain it but something about the pressing and pulsing action of using my Ninja blender to slice and dice fruit into a deilcious and nutritious smoothie type milkshake felt like the perfect reason to recite the line “You don’t want to get mixed up with someone like me. I’m a loner Dottie-a rebel,” in a really horrible attempt at a creepy Pee Wee Herman voice.
This was obviously my first truly metaphysical milkshake making experience. Which, from what I can now gather now-requires some sort of creepy behavior in order for it to be metaphysical. My creepiness was taking on a Pee Wee Herman voice while operating a weapon of fruit destruction.
