Undefeated UFC Heavyweight Justin Ledet Demands Insurance from Dana White, Buys Antibiotics From Street Drug Dealers

Undefeated Heavyweight Justin Ledet had something to get off his chest, apparently, and it’s a lot to unpack.

So back in February of 2017, Ledet was scheduled to fight against Dmitry Sosnovskiy at UFC Fight Night: Bermudez vs. Korean Zombie. He pulled out at the time due to unspecified injury. It seems now that Ledet torn his LCL. It’s kind of crazy to think that a fighter would alert the UFC to that kind of injury and the promotion wouldn’t get them an MRI before scheduling him in another fight. But nonetheless, Ledet fought Azunna Anyanwu five months later and won via split decision.

It’s both kind of sad and quintessentially MMA to imagine Justin Ledet with a staph infection asking his weed dealer to score him some amoxicillin. I can’t believe I never realized there is a black market for antibiotics. Next time I get the flu, I’m going straight to the doctor so I can flip my prescription of Z-Pak.

Looking for a silver lining in this story demonstrating the ethic low points of your favorite sport? Leslie Smith immediately used it as an opening to secure a signature for Project Spearhead. And this is exactly why she is the correct person to be initiating a fighter’s union. What a G.

Update: Seems like this might just be Justin Ledet’s Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.  He is going straight Julio from Half Baked on the world today.

Here he is (immediately after berating Dana White for insurance/admitting to buying illegal antibiotics) telling his management company that basically, they ain’t shit.

Justin Ledet is officially wilding the fuck out.
