Undefeated Israel Adesanya Scores Split Decision Win Over Marvin Vettori

Rising middleweight prospect Israel The “Last Style Bender” Adesanya squared off against Marvin Vettori in the main card of UFC on Fox 29 tonight (Sat., April 14, 2018) from inside Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona. The decorated kickboxer remained undefeated scores a split-decision win over Italy’s Marvin Vettori.

Adesanya remain calm as he let Vettori standing southpaw to exchange heavy combinations of punches, but in the second, he put the show on, showing his polished kickboxing skills. Adesanya throws a nasty step-on elbow to the head, pounded him with a brutal kick to the torso, and continue with low kicks.

In the final round Vettori took the fight to the ground, but unfortunately, he couldn’t sustain the fight longer on the ground as Adesanya stood up and went for a leg sweep. Vettori was landing punches in the exchanges. Adesanya looked for an uppercut, and a high kick as the fight came to a close, but the round ended without either fighter landing another blow.

Israel improved to 2-0 in the UFC. Vettori (12-4-1) is now 2-2-1 in the UFC.
