UFC In Talks For CM Punk Vs. Mike Jackson For UFC 225 In June

CM Punk, a former WWE superstar turned MMA fighter will finally get his second professional MMA fight and that too in his hometown Chicago and broadcast on pay-per-view (PPV).

As per MMAFighting.com’s Ariel Helwani, UFC is reportedly in discussions to have CM Punk return after a nearly two-year hiatus and reported that the UFC is currently in discussions to finalize Punk’s second UFC fight against Mike Jackson at UFC 225 in Chicago.

CM Punk and Mike Jackson both being 0-1 in the UFC, both lost to Mickey Gall back in 2016 via rear naked choke in the first round. While Punk lasted over two minutes against Gall at UFC 203, Jackson submitted in only 45 seconds to a rear-naked choke.

The UFC appears to like the idea, too, but again, the second fight for CM Punk is in early stages and hasn’t been signed just yet.

That little crazy two men without a pro-MMA victory between them will fight on the main card of a UFC event set to come to fruition?

UFC 225 event is being slated to take place on June 9th at the United Center. No other fight cards have been set as of yet.
